London, Jan 11: Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has said that he's not finished as English skipper yet.

"I feel I've got unfinished business as the captain of England. I definitely feel that," Pietersen told The Sun.

Pietersen had relinquished the post of England skipper on January 7th after an argument with team coach Peter Moores.

But, the swashbuckling right-handed batsman has decided to put the episode behind him, and support new captain Andrew Strauss, and keep piling on the runs.

"I've got zero problem with walking back into that dressing- room. I can look anybody in the eye," Pietersen said. "I'm not a problem in the dressing- room. I can work with anybody in that team. I will be 100 per cent supportive of whatever goes on," he added.

"I will jump back into that dressing room and support Andrew Strauss 100 per cent," he further added.

Pietersen's run as England captain lasted just three Tests and 186 days, and he never captained a senior side at county level.

"I haven't done it for long enough; so I don't think I warrant speaking as a man of experience in the captaincy ranks. I will give my advice to Straussy on a mate's level," he said.

"If I am asked by him or he wants me to do something then I will do it. I am in the team as a team player," he added.

"I am 100 per cent behind the skipper and committed to winning games of cricket and that is one of the reasons why I did what I did," he further added.

According to Pietersen, "I am 28 years old and I hope I can still play for England for another seven years.

England face a huge nine months with home and away series against the West Indies, hosting the Twenty20 World Cup before trying to wrest the Ashes off the Aussies. ((ANI)
