US aerial attack kills three in PakistanIslamabad - At least three people were killed and half a dozen injured on Friday as a US drone attacked a house in Pakistan's tribal area along the Afghan border.

A security official said a pilotless US drone fired missiles at a house in Mohmmad Khel village in North Waziristan.

More casualties were feared as some people were believed to be buried under the rubble, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

However, a spokesman from the Pakistan Army denied the report saying the US planes only hit targets on Afghan side of the border.

Gilani: US cannot fight terrorism without Pakistan's support

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza GillaniIslamabad- Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Thursday the United States could not win its fight against terrorism without Pakistan's support, a day after he condemned US aerial attacks inside the country as "acts of terrorism."

"Pakistan is a frontline ally in the fight against terrorism. It has a unique strategic position and (the) US cannot think of fight(ing) terror without it," he told reporters in the central city of Multan.

Addressing a press conference in Multan, he pointed out that Pakistan had a very important strategical location in the region, when it came to fighting against terrorism.

Pakistan had been a key anti-terror ally of the US in its war of terror, and the latter has been providing huge funds to it to seriously fight against extremism, particularly within its territories.

Pak PM forms two committees to evolve anti-terror strategy

Yusaf Raza GillaniIslamabad, Sept 30 : Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has reportedly formed two committees to work out a national counter-terrorism strategy in accordance with his government’s three-pronged policy of using development, dialogue and deterrence to fight out extremism.

Comprising of several federal ministers and federal secretaries, the two committees were formed at a high-level security meeting presided over by the Prime Minister, Information Minister Sherry Rehman told reporters.

Pak PM calls upon Muslim world to form a concerted strategy to counter terrorism

Islamabad, Sept 26 : The Muslim world should formulate a comprehensive strategy to counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, said Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here last evening.

He said that terrorism had no faith and that laid stress on the need to ensure that the fight against terrorism did not turn into a clash between the West and the world of Islam.
