High Court refuses to extend Sanjeev Nanda''s interim bail

RK Anand, IU Khan held guilty in BMW sting expose caseNewD elhi, Jan 9 : The Delhi High Court on Friday refused to extend Sanjeev Nanda''s interim bail in connection with the BMW hit-and-run case.

Justice Kailash Gambhir dismissed the petition which means Sanjeev has to surrender himself on Saturday.

On December 19, the court had granted three-week interim bail to Sanjeev, who is undergoing five years jail term.

Sanjeev NandaNew Delhi - Businessman Sanjeev Nanda was sentenced Friday to five years in jail for running over and killing six people, including three police officers, in 1999 in New Delhi.

Nanda, 30, was found guilty by a city court Tuesday after a nine-year trial, which saw most witnesses turn hostile.

Another accused, Rajeev Gupta, was sentenced to a year in prison for destruction of evidence while his two domestic helpers were given six months each on the same charge.

Sanjeev NandaNew Delhi, Sep 2 : A Delhi court on Tuesday held Sanjeev Nanda guilty in BMW hit-and-run case, in which six persons, including three constables, were killed in 1999.

Announcing that the quantum of punishment will be pronounced on Wednesday, Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Kumar said: Sanjeev Nanda, I hold you guilty under Section 304 (Part II) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC."
