New Delhi [India], Jan. 28 : B-town is appalled by the 'shameful' attack on ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of 'Padmavati' by members of Rajput Karni Sena.

The behaviour of the activists did not go well with anyone in the Bollywood fraternity as celebs took to Twitter to condemn the incident and lend their support to Bhansali by creating #IstandbySLB.

'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' earns Rs 93.58 crores in opening weekend

Ram-LeelaNew Delhi, Nov 19 : Sanjay Leela Bhansali-helmed film ' Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' has earned a total of Rs 93.58 crores worldwide in it's opening weekend, according to Eros International Media Ltd.

The movie, which was released worldwide in over 3,500 screens, grossed Rs. 68.58 crores in India and Rs. 25 crores in the overseas markets, Pinkvilla. com reported.

The Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer film has also become the highest gross ing first weekend film overseas, and currently stands on the ninth spot on the charts in the UK. (ANI)

Relieved and exuberant, Bhansali said: "I haven't received so many congratulations in a while. Everybody is saying this is the kind of cinema they like to see me make. It's a great feeling when your hard work pays off."

UP activist moves court for ban on 'Ram Leela'

ram-leela-movieLucknow, Sep 24 : A public interest litigation (PIL) was filed before the Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench Wednesday for a ban on Bollywood film "Ram Leela", releasing Nov 15, if its makers did not change its name.

In her petition, social activist Nutan Thakur said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film has been given the name "Ram Leela" while it has nothing to do with this pious Hindu religious event.

An adaptation of Govardhanram Madhavaram Tripathi's novel, the show went live Monday on Star Plus. Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget are seen as the lead actors in it.

"I just have one wish that we make a good serial, actors do a good job and it runs for 2000 episodes and may it become the biggest and most memorable serial," the 50-year-old said here in an interview.
