Islamabad, Aug 7 : Musharraf vows to ‘fight back’ Impeachment MotionEven as the stage is set for an Impeachment Motion against him on August 11 (Monday), Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has reportedly vowed to fight back.

Sensing that the PPP-led Government will move the motion against him, Musharraf last evening said that while it was the Government’s right to table the impeachment motion against him, he also had the “right to defend” his actions.

Quoting Nawaz Sharif’s spokesman Ahsan Iqbal, The Times Online reported that it is confirmed that Musharraf will be impeached soon, and the decision agreed upon between Nawaz and Zardari would be made public at a press conference later in the day.

Murtaza had levelled these allegations against Musharraf on Tuesday.

Senator Pari Gul Agha said that the allegation had put a question mark on the integrity of senators and Murtaza should submit proof to support his claim.

According to a statement issued by the country’s Foreign Office, leaders from several countries had confirmed their participation and Musharraf would have the opportunity to meet them on the sidelines of the opening ceremony.
