The U2's lead singer and the R&B lady will share the microphone with the heartland rocker Springsteen at a free gig at Washington D. C.''s Lincoln Memorial on January 18.

The star-studded concert, We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, would also see Mary J. Blige, Garth Brooks, Usher, Shakira, and Sheryl Crow, reports Contactmusic.

London, Jan 4: Beyonce Knowles has donated her entire 4 million dollar salary from her new movie `Cadillac Records' to a string of drug rehabilitation centres across U. S.

The move came after the singer spent two weeks with hardcore junkies to research for her latest role of singer Etta James, whose early career was blighted by heroin addiction, reports the Daily Star.

Knowles visited New York''s Phoenix House for the research and was moved to tears as she watched down-at-heel drug abusers go through detox misery after hitting rock bottom at the Phoenix House centre in Brooklyn, New York.

Janet Jackson ‘livid’ over Beyonce Knowles’ ‘poor’ comments

London, January 3: Singer Beyonce Knowles has reportedly left fellow artist Janet Jackson fuming after referring that the latter's family did not come from an upper class background.

The leading R&B lady seemed to have taken a dig on Jackson family by contrasting her wealthy upbringing against that of Janet, who comes from the working class area of Gary, Indiana.

"I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar," the Daily Express quoted Beyonce as telling Elle magazine in a recent interview.

"We''re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we''re like the Jacksons - but I didn''t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation," she added.

Beyonce hates going to parties

The 27-year-old singer admits that she loathes attending social gatherings because she always feels like the other guests are spying on her.
