London - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on Tuesday that his club have not agreed a fee to sign Russian forward Andrei Arshavin.
Arshavin's club, Zenit St Petersburg, said on Monday night that only personal terms remained to be agreed, but Wenger denied that any agreement was in place.
"(Rumours of an agreed fee) are not true," the Frenchman said.
"In this job "far" doesn't mean a lot. I believe that we are not close to concluding any transfer, Arshavin or anybody else.
London, Nov. 24 : Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has said that he may recall axed skipper William Gallas if he apologises to his team-mates.
Defender Gallas was stripped of the captaincy and left out of Saturday’s defeat at Manchester City.
However, the Daily Express quoted Wenger as saying: “Cesc Fabregas will be available and maybe Gallas. We can change a captain without making a political issue. Of course, he has a future here but the less we talk the better.”
