According to The News, senior PCB officials have taken serious notes about Qadir's late arrival at domestic matches and his failure to attend a national selection committee meeting in Karachi during the on-going one-day international series against Sri Lanka.
Islamabad, Jan. 14 : A day after the US State Department imposed sanctions on disgraced Pakistani nuclear scientist, A. Q. Khan, he has categorically denied ever having met al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden.
He said that the media reports about his contact were baseless, and a part of propaganda of the `western media'.
"I had no direct or indirect contact with Osama Bin Laden and suggestions to that effect were baseless propaganda by the western media," the Daily Times quoted Khan, as saying.

The name of the Pakistani nuclear scientist, A. Q. Khan along with 12 other individuals appeared on an official notification asking the international community to "remain vigilant" to ensure that the network did not resume its activities.
Islamabad, Nov 21: Pakistan nuclear scientist Dr AQ Khan has reportedly filed a writ petition against his alleged detention yesterday at the Islamabad High Court.
The petition filed through former law minister and senior lawyer SM Zafar pleaded the court to order the authorities to ease the restrictions imposed on him in the name of security measures, reported the Daily Times.

Islamabad, Oct 15 : Pakistan nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and his wife have reportedly filed an application before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) requesting that they may be allowed to appear in person before the court to pursue their petitions.
The application will come up for hearing on Wednesday, said a senior High Court official.
Filed by Barrister M. Javed Iqbal Jafferi on behalf of Dr Khan and his wife Hendrina Khan, the application contended that the IHC orders relaxing restrictions on the movement of Dr Khan were not being implemented by the concerned authorities.
