People are missing Blue Bell
Sweet Sammie's in Fort Worth used to serve homemade cookies by sandwiching the Blue Bell ice cream between them. And the complications faced by Blue Bell also created problem for it. According to manager Kory Close, in the beginning, it was a concern for them as well.
Now, the Blue Bell logo on the menu has been covered by a purple tape. A listeria outbreak in number of Blue Bell plants led to recall of all products of the company. According to Closer, they are now using Blue Bunny as they had to go for a new brand. The shop experienced a slight fall in sales; however, Close said that bad weather could also be a factor that may have led to this.
As summer approaches, customers make more visits; however, they are even now interested in Blue Bell and ask for updates. Customer Coby Bird said that Blue Bell is definitely different and their homemade Vanilla Blue Bell is his first choice, so much so that he thinks that even God will offer it in heaven.
Customers are ready to try the brand again, so it will be another opportunity for the company. Bird said that there could be tough situations sometimes like what Blue Bell has faced and now they will be more aware regarding safety concerns.
It was announced by Greg Bridges, vice-president of operations for Blue Bell, "We have been working diligently to prepare our facilities to resume test production, and our focus throughout this process has been to ensure the public that when our products return to market, they are safe".
