Former telecom minister, Arun Shourie has called the report submitted by Justice Shivraj Patil on 2G scam as a total trash. He even criticized and alleged the telecom minister, Kapil Sibal for using the means to save A Raja.

While talking to reporter, he said that Sibal is trying to advocate Raja. He is trying to save him by saying that Raja had informed the PM about everything. He also reiterated that the report, which has been formed with the help of a former judge, is a total misrepresentation of the actual happenings. The only thing that it is doing is trying to save the government.

In the report it was said that during the auction all the procedures were followed by the NDA government till the moment the rights were transferred till 2008. All the work, said the report, was done in a fair manner.

But Shourie bluntly said that Sibal was lying and that just before the date the spectrum allocation was done, Raja had made the changes in priority list so that it could help out certain companies. The judge who made the report was handpicked and was chosen in manner that was most convenient to them.
