Parveen Tagodia Refutes Accusations Of Him Being Involved In Malegaon Blasts
The Malegaon blast case continues to spark controversies. On Monday, VHP general secretary Praveen Togadia denied media reports which linked him to the Malegaon blasts and to Abhinav Bharat, a right wing organisation that is under investigation in the Malegaon blasts.
Tagodia's advocate, Dipak Shukla, said, "my client firmly denies any funding or involvement related to Abhinav Bharat or any of their affiliated or non-affiliated people in any of their activities."
"Any attempt by any electronic media, print media, public or private communicators, government or private agency or anyone whosoever to spread the above or any such malafide, false, derogatory and criminally defamatory lies about my client will attract civil and criminal legal action as deemed fit," Togadia's counsel said in the statement.
Meanwhile, CBI has refuted the reports about having sent any information, based upon the accusations of the arrested Lt Colonel Shrikant P Purohit, to the centre.
"It is clarified that no CBI report, as referred in news item, has been prepared or sent to any office. Therefore, the details attributed to be part of the CBI report are not true," a CBI spokesperson said in a statement.
