Parvathy - The Rising Malayali Star!
Parvathy, who has been an anchor on Kiran TV and has also done a few roles in Malayalam and Kannada movies, made her debut in Tamil film industry through Sasi's ‘Poo’, which is produced by Moser Baer.
Parvathy’s made Tamil audiences her fan with her portrayal of a young rural girl in love with her cousin in ‘Poo.’
She plays the role of Mari (Mariyammal) in the movie, and the viewers seem to have hailed her as she has virtually given life to the image of the 'Nellai Seemai Ponnu'!
Her facial expressions are amazing and no one could have expected such excellent performance from a novice like Parvathy, who credits director with having gotten the best out of her.
Sasi also describes her as the heart of the movie, complimenting the young actor as being dedicated and passionate about her art.
After the Press show of ‘Poo’, Parvathy spoke to news persons at Four Frames, Chennai.
In a relaxed mood, she says, “I must really thank the Tamil viewers for accepting me solely for my merits. Really I appreciate and bow my head to their taste. Once again they have proved that performance is the only parameter to enter the industry in the proper way.”
“Sasi is really a fantastic director and he has worked hard to bring out my best performance in this film. The full credit goes to him only...” Parvathy adds.
According to Parvathy, she is not in a hurry to grab any opportunities.
“I’m carefully watching the trend and hearing stories of various genres. I would like to accept films only on the basis of good scripts. Salary is not a constraint.”
