Panel to probe MBBS paper leak

Goa-UniversityAfter denying the third-year MBBS examinations for general medicine papers I and II on Monday soon after the leakage of question papers, Goa University on Tuesday the exam was reworked on, as the vice-chancellor claimed of the fact about the fact-finding committee which would be formed in the next three days to carry out a detailed inquiry into the matter.

Speaking to TOI on Tuesday, GU vice-chancellor Dileep Deobagkar further stated, "I did not want the students to lose time so I immediately rescheduled the exam. As per university rules, we will constitute a fact finding committee within the next three to four days to carry out a detailed investigation in the case."

He further added that the practical examinations are timed shortly after the theory exams and proves to be vital regarding the new examination dates for the two papers which shall soon be pronounced at the earliest to be on track.

When enquired about the developments on the inquiry committee, Deobagkar explained the fact that the papers were ruled out and the reports of the leak were being considered seriously.
