Pak wishes to work closely with new US administration
Islamabad, Nov 7 : Pakistan has said that it would work closely with the next US administration to strengthen bilateral relations.
A statement issued by Pakistan Foreign Office said that the two countries had long enjoyed a strategic and friendly partnership, and that the bilateral relationship would deepen with Barack Obama heading US administration.
“We would remain engaged in expanding co-operation for a stable, long-term and broad-based strategic relationship serving the interests of the region and the world at large,” the Daily Times quoted the statement as saying.
Terming Obama’s election as US president as “historic”, it said that the people and government of Pakistan congratulated Obama for winning the landmark US election. (ANI)
