Pak Singer Farida Inspired By Lata MangeshkarFarida Khanum, the Pakistan-based ghazal exponent who charmed million of viewers recently at the Aravalli Concert, paid her respect to ace Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Farida disclosed that Lataji is one of the singers who has inspired her to a great deal and is also really sweet.

She said that she has performed with several Indian singers and Lataji was also one of them.

Khanum talked about how much respect she had got in India and that she wouldn't mind living here if she was invited. She thinks that both nations have so much in their musical bequests that it could link any kind of gap.

She disclosed that she performed with Mukhtar Begum in Kolkata before the latter moved to Mumbai.

It was also around the same time that she met Begum Akhtar, that Akhtar persuaded her to grow.

Khanum sung some unforgettable ghazals, which comprised her well-known track, Aaj jaane ki zid na karo.

She also showed the wish to work with AR Rahman. She asserted that she met Rahman while on a flight to United States and he said that he was waiting for the day they would work together. (With Inputs from Agencies)
