Sources close to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have revealed that besides this bonus, the players would also receive cash rewards from a few big business houses, which sponsor cricket in Pakistan, for winning the title.

According to The News, the cricketers will also get handsome rewards from the government as President Pervez Musharraf, the board's chief patron who is known for his generosity when it comes to rewarding Pakistani sportsmen winning laurels at the international arena, is keenly following the 12-nation spectacle in South Africa.

If the team lifts the trophy on September 24 in Johannesburg, each of the 15 players representing Pakistan will get around 30 million rupees. This will be in addition to the winners' cheque of 490,000 dollars.

Pakistan has already reached the semi finals of the inaugural tournament after beating title-favourites Australia by six wickets in a Super Eights match. (With inputs from ANI)
