Oracle To Build R&D System For Innovation

OracleNew Delhi: Enterprise software company Oracle said it will make a research and development (R&D) system for its 19 centers across Asia Pacific and Japan to manufacture, check and showcase technological innovations.

The novel single system will connect 19 development and solution centres that include six Oracle Asia R&D Centres (OARDC) in India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and two in China in addition to 13 solution centres in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the company’s release these centers give attention on formulating effectual resolutions for the local markets plus contributing to international product development.

Kevin Walsh, chief technology officer, Oracle (Asia Pacific and Japan) stated, “This new collaboration will enhance our Asia Pacific innovation development process as well as benefit our customers and partners in the region.”

“With all sides of the globe participating in contributing to technology solutions, our customers will gain access to some of the most cutting edge IT projects in the world. Customers and partners will also be able to collaborate with Oracle's vast R&D network to apply new thinking in the way software can be used to stimulate global growth and innovation in any industry or country,” Mr. Walsh added.

The OARDC would concentrate on product growth, solution development, strategic plans and partner enablement.

The Asia Pacific and Japan Research & Development network is also connected into the worldwide Oracle development centres globally. Freshly the company reported an investment of 2.2 billion dollar on global research and development during 2007, a 17 per cent increase from the previous fiscal.
