The Obama’s visit daughter Sasha’s school

Barack ObamaWashington, January 30 : U. S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle braved a cold Thursday to attend a second-grade class presentation at Sidwell Friends School''s lower-school campus in Bethesda, which their 7-year-daughter Sasha attends.

According to reports, the President was wearing just a dark suit, without an overcoat.

Michelle was clad in a purple overcoat and lavender scarf.

Her office has not revealed as yet as to what was the reason for the visit-was Sasha making a presentation, or was another child?

"The girls had a class presentation at school," the Washington Post quoted Katie McCormick Lelyveld, her spokesperson, as saying.

She, however, confirmed that "Both adults went."

The newspaper reported being told by sources that Sasha and her fellow pupils were studying Native American history and culture.

"Each child did research on an American Indian topic and then presented their work to other students and parents," school spokesman Ellis Turner told Leiby.

A breakfast featuring native foods was served.

Adult-size chairs were set up for the Obama parents' visit, which came just a day after the President poked fun at local officials for cancelling his older daughter Malia's Sidwell''s middle school because of icy conditions.

The First Adults spent a little more than an hour at the Bethesda campus, arriving at 8:15 a. m. (ANI)
