Now, a ‘Green Hypercar’ that actually pays you to drive it
Washington, Dec 31: Imagine being paid just for driving a smart car. Well, a new high-end ‘Green’ vehicle called the Hypercar may soon make it possible.
Researchers at the Rocky Mountain Institute, who have developed a model of the Hypercar, said that the energy produced by it could actually be pumped back into the grid.
They said that the sale of the excess stored energy produced by the vehicle would provide its owners with an opportunity to make money, reports the Environmental News Network.
The Hypercar comes with ultra modern amenities, accessories, and safety devices.
It also has features like ultra light construction, hybrid-electric drive, low-drag design and efficient accessories to accomplish a three to five-fold improvement on fuel efficiency.
The researchers said that the Hypercar was at par with the current automobiles through comparable safety, amenities and affordability.
According to them, the new car would take full advantage of the latest technology of hydrogen-powered engines, and thereby reduce vehicle pollution while maintaining the power necessary to meet the demands and needs of the people.
The car would have a durable, lightweight, dent-and rust-proof body. It would also come with a smart technology information network.
The researchers believe that the Hypercar will help achieve about two-third reduction in carbon-dioxide emissions, partly by significantly accelerating the shift to hydrogen fuel cells. (ANI)
