Norway win ski jump team eventPlanica, Slovenia - Norway captured the World Cup team event on Saturday after the second jump was abandoned as a result of strong winds at the Slovenian venue of Planica.

The Norwegian team of Tom Hilde, Johan Remen Evensen, Anders Jacobsen and Anders Bardal, which led after the first jump, was declared the winner on 793.4 points.

The decision to call the event off came before the last starters of the teams of four during the second jump.

Poland clinched second place with 761.9 points, with Russia third on 734.6. (dpa)
