Nokia might release Lumia 925

Nokia might release Lumia 925Finnish handset giant, Nokai might be planning to release the much anticipated Lumia 925 smartphone powered by Windows Phone 8 in the UK today.

Reports suggest that details of the device also called Nokia Catwalk have been leaked to the internet in the previous few days. Some suggest that the Nokia Lumia 925 will be a global edition of Lumia 928, which was recently announced by the company. The device will come with brushed aluminum chassis instead of polycarbonate plastic body.

The Nokia Lumia 925 will come with a a 4.5-inch OLED display powered by a dual -core processor. The smartphone also has a powerful 8.7-mega pixel shooter powered by PureView imaging technology. In the US, the Lumia 928 Windows Phone is expected to be available from May 16 after Nokai launched the mobile in association with telecom service provider, Verizon.

The device will cost $150 upfront with a $50 mail-in rebate and a new, two-year service contract form the telecom operator. Some reports also suggest that the company will offer a $25 credit for Windows Phone apps for a limited time for the users. Verizon has still not taking pre-orders for the device.
