A K Antony to review security situation in J-K

Defence Minister A K AntonySrinagar, Oct 27 : Defence Minister A K Antony will review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir today.

Antony on Friday said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir was improving compared to the past, and expressed the hope that it would improve further in the coming days.

"The situation is improving. Look at the past, compared to the past, the situation is much better. I am sure that things will improve further. As the situation improves we will take all possible measures to improve the atmosphere there and we will try to find a solution to many of their genuine difficulties," he said

Huge drugs haul in Dhaka, two arrested

Dhaka, Oct 26 : In the largest ever Yaba haul in Bangladesh, the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Thursday recovered 130,000 contraband nerve stimulant tablets, and arrested two in this connection.

Yaba, the Thai word for "crazy medicine," is a tablet form of methamphetamine, a powerful stimulant.

Amin Huda and his close aide Ahsanul Haque Hasan were arrested at Huda’s Gulshan office with 130,000 Yaba tablets.

The elite force also suspects that Huda is one of the top barons of the drug business in Bangladesh.

The Rab also seized over 5,000 Yaba's alternative drugs ice pills, ice pill preparing chemical, foreign liquor, phensidyle, over Tk 46 lakh and currencies of six other countries.
