The Sensex fell down for the second straight day on Tuesday by 248.94 points to mark its closure at 17,137.14 on renewed offloading by local operators in view of hopeless opinion from worldwide markets.

The Nifty index of National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed down by 74.25 points at 5148.50.

Weak European signals pushed the Sensex down by 250 points and the Nifty by 70 points. European stock markets including Footsie, CAC and DAX dropped between 1 and 1.5% due to fall in metal, banking and energy companies' scrips.

The UK Defence Ministry has informed that only one helicopter is now ready for frontline combat operations. There are three helicopters but they can use only one.

The findings of a study revealed that children of women who smoked during pregnancy days ended becoming obese in their teenage days.

Grounding to the fact was researchers observed that ones who were exposed to cigarette smoke while in the womb developed more fat than their non-exposed peers later in life time.

Precisely they ended up having a third more fat around their internal organs and 26 per cent more fat directly under the skin.

As the doctors elaborate the matter they stress that people who chew gum on a regular basis are likely to develop wrinkles around their mouth.

Dr. Joel Schlessinger, a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon from Omaha, says that he has observed many of his patients develop wrinkles after a resuming to a regular habit of gum chewing, reports The New York Daily News.
