JeeraJeera ended a tad up on seasonal demand, falling stocks and a decline in arrivals. Spot rates in Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, gained 55.5 rupees to end at 11,999.50 rupees per 100 kg. Arrivals are expected to gain pace in the next few days and would peak in March-April, pressuring prices. April contract gained Rs 42 and settled at Rs 12166 a kg. The contract made intraday low of Rs 12050 a kg and high of Rs 12245 a kg. Support for jeera is at 12062 below that could see a test of 11959. Resistance is now seen at 12257 above that could see a resistance of 12349.

In Nizamabad, a major spot market in Andhra Pradesh, the price dropped 256 rupees to end at 11,638 rupees. The price has risen more than 10 percent in the last four sessions till Monday. Turmeric yesterday we have seen that market has moved 2.31%. Market has opened at 10881 & made a low of 10881 versus the day high of 11548. The total volume for the day was at 23170 lots and the open interest was at 8930.Support for turmeric is at 10978 below that could see a test of 10596. Resistance is now seen at 11645 above that could see a resistance of 11930.

ChanaChana rose nearly 3 percent on buying interest at low-levels after trading range-bound in the last few sessions, offsetting arrivals and higher output views. In Delhi spot market, price gained 14 rupees to end at 2,171 rupees per 100 kg. India's chana acreage as on March 11 stood at 8.92 million hectares, compared with 8.35 million hectares in the same period a year ago. Chana gained Rs 64 and settled at Rs 2246 per quintal. The volume was noted at 112350 lots. Support for chana is at 2202 below that could see a test of 2159. Resistance is now seen at 2268 above that could see a resistance of 2291.
