As close to 21 deaths have happened over the past two weeks in the Assam region wherein the patient was suffering from Cholera has made the government agencies alert. While a majority of the deaths have taken place in a cluster of tea estates in Sonitpur district, the government has recently zeroed on the decision of filing cases against three tea estates for gross negligence of healthcare of laborers.

Moreover, the government has also suspended three officials from the health department due to the same reason.
