Wolfsburg's Magath files appeal over fine
Wolfsburg, Germany - VfL Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath has filed an appeal against a 10,000-euro (12,700 dollars) fine imposed by the German football federation DFB for insulting a referee.
The fine was imposed last month by the federation's control panel for "unsporting behaviour."
The coach appeared at a personal hearing at the federation last week and has now filed an appeal to a DFB court, the Bundesliga club said on Thursday.
The fine followed an incident in a 4-1 defeat of VfB Stuttgart on November 22 when Magath allegedly insulted the referee and was ordered to the stands at half-time. (dpa)
