Oz spinner Krejza vows to spin Proteas out at WACA

Tasmania off-spinner Jason KrejzaMelbourne, Dec. 3 : Australian spinner Jason Krejza has said that he will exploit South Africa''s "weakness" against spin during the first Test in Perth.

Krejza, who took 12 wickets in his debut Test against India in Ngapur last month was quoted by The Age as saying: "That is something I have obviously been looking at and I''m hoping to bring that weakness out if I get that opportunity."

"I see my role as taking wickets and containing," he added.

He also said that he was quite frustrated by his injury.

“I was very, very frustrated. It was a little thing that happened. I haven''t gone over on my ankle since I was eight years old so it was very disappointing," he said.

"I definitely want to be the No. 1 spin bowler in the country. I have a lot of hard work to do and lot more Tests to play to be confident in saying that."

Australian coach Tim Nielsen said he would prefer to use a specialist spinner at the WACA Ground despite predictions of an ultra-fast wicket, and Krejza remains the preferred candidate ahead of Nathan Hauritz, who replaced him in Adelaide and picked up four wickets. (ANI)
