Bon Jovi, Amitabh Bachchan to perform at Live Earth India show
The Live Earth India concert, to be held at the Andheri Sports center in Mumbai on December 7, will be a show to watch - major artistes from across the globe, including Roger Waters, Bon Jovi, and Amitabh Bachchans and a host of others will be seen in action!
One of the rare programmes to be shown throughout the world, the show is aimed to raise funds for lighting over 1.6 billion unlit homes across the globe. Organised by Wizcraft International, the show would be open to 25,000 fans, besides millions of viewers worldwide watching it through three of Star's channels - Star Plus in India, UK and the Middle East; Star World in South East Asia, Hong Kong and India; and Channel V in India.
Star India's Chief Executive Officer, Uday Shankar, said: "We are proud to be associated with this event, as it echoes our philosophy of improving the quality of life on our planet through building positive action for our environment."
The event will start at 1600 hrs, and the tickets - priced at Rs 625, Rs 1250 and Rs 2500 - are available online at bookmyshow. com/liveearthindia.
According to Sabbas Joseph, Director of Wizcraft, the event would be hosted by former US Vice President Al Gore, and TERI Chairperson R K Pachauri, to highlight to the world the problems in climate change, underscoring the fact that the people of the world live under one climate.
Iconic star Amithabh Bachchan will joined by many artistes and celebrities on stage - including Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Anoushka Shankar, Arjun Rampal, Bipasha Basu, Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Jalebee Cartel, Preity Zinta, Roger Waters, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Shiamak Davar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Vishal and Shekhar.
