Sarajevo- Bosnian police arrested two Bosnian Serbs suspected of killing and torturing non-Serb civilians during the 1992-95 war in Bosnia, a court in Bosnia-Herzegovina said Tuesday.

The court said Radoje Lalovic and Soniboj Skiljevic were suspected of war crimes against civilians and crimes against humanity committed while they were working as prison commanders in Kula prison outside Sarajevo.

They were suspected of "unlawful detention, torture, inhumane treatment, murder and forced labor" during a period from May 1992 to December 1995, prosecutors said in a statement posted on the court's website.

During the war, Serbian forces turned Kula prison into a detention facility for thousands of Croats and Muslims. (dpa)
