Companies having presence in The Netherlands and Domain Name Industry experts are upbeat about the Sunrise period of .co.nl registry. Sunrise 2 period will present an opportunity for Trademark owners to grab their .CO.NL domains.

The Netherlands is having a big internet user base. Currently, over 3 million .NL domains have been registered. The Sunrise 1 period will start on 18, November, 2008 during which .NL domain owners can apply for .CO.NL domains. As per domain plans from EuropeRegistry, cost for each domain will be Euro 100.

During Sunrise 2 pedior, starting 10 Feb, 2009, Trademark owners can apply for domains. During this period, the registration cost will be Euro 115.

The registry will offer the free domains from 17, March, 2009 for registrations by individuals in other categories. Users can register the free domains at Euro 49 each. General Registrations will start from 15 April, 2009. During the live registrations, the cost will be Euro 49 at EuropeRegistry.

Other than EuropeRegistry, Key-Systems, EuroDNS, Name.com and Hosting.nl are also providing registration services.
