“I Watch My Children’s Films Like A Mother And Not As An Actor,” Says Sharmila Tagore

Sharmila Tagore Sharmila Tagore, in an interview, talked about her biased behavior towards her children.

You must be looking forward to Khoya Khoya Chand?
“Yeah, I have to be in Mumbai for the premiere or Soha (Ali Khan) is going to be very annoyed. My daughter wants to watch the film with me. I hope she’s done a good job. It’s a different kind of film and she has an important role.”

Would you be an unbiased spectator?
“No, I’m very biased towards my children’s work. I watch their films like a mother and not as an actor. I watch Soha’s films at least thrice before giving my opinion and even then, I end up being very biased.”

What about Saif?
“Saif’s grown a lot as an actor. He’s matured now. But Soha still has a long way to go.”

We haven’t seen you in films for sometime now, not since Eklavya?
“You will, soon. I’ve been shooting for Nagesh Kukunoor’s as-yet-untitled film with Akshay Kumar. I’m pretty excited about it because it’s a thriller. I haven’t experimented with this genre for a while now. (Laughs) Can’t say more or I’d let the cat out.”

Meanwhile, on the sets of Sudhir Mishra’s Khoya Khoya Chaand, Soha discussed about vintage cars with co-star Shiney Ahuja, who is known as a car lover and makes it a point to know everything about every car launched and even test-drives all the new ones.

Shiney was surprised when he discovered Soha new more about vintage cars than he does.

Soha said, “We had most of these vintage cars in the Pataudi estate.”
