Medical files reported missing in Aarushi murder case
The infamous Aarushi murder case which happened in Noida on May 16 took another turn when the important records were reported missing from the Noida district government hospital. The files in which the pathology tests of the deceased were kept, held the cue as to whether the girl was sexually assaulted by the suspects or not were vanished.
A team of CBI officials went to the hospital in order to get hold of the original records of Aarushi’s pathology tests but were disappointed on finding them missing. The CBI officials wanted to match the copies of the ones they had with the originals for verification as they suspected that someone has overwritten over them.
When the CBI officers visited the hospital premises on Saturday they had to break the almirahs as the pathologist was on an unauthorized leave. The hospital's chief medical superintendent S.C. Singhal said, “The pathologist has been on unauthorised leave for the last few months. The CBI was asking for original pathology reports. In the presence of a four-member team led by city magistrate two almirahs in the pathology department were broken open.”
Singhal added that the reports of the year 2008, which included Aarushi’s as well were found missing. The CMS added that the pathologist will be asked about the reported files. “She has been asked to produce the file. Today being Sunday the letter was not dispatched.”
