Three killed, nine injured in separate attacks in Iraq
Baghdad- At least nine Iraqis were injured and three were killed on Wednesday in explosive attacks that took place in Baghdad, Mosul and Baquba.
A bomb went off on Wednesday morning in Baquba as a minibus was passing the Balad Roze neighbourhood.
Two people were killed in the attack and four injured.
Baquba, capital of Diyala province, is 60 kilometres north-east of Baghdad
In restive Mosul, 400 km north-west of Baghdad, two Iraqi soldiers were wounded in a bomb attack on Wednesday, a security source said.
The source said that a bomb targeting an Iraqi Army vehicle patrol in Intesar neighborhood in south-eastern Mosul went off, Voices of Iraq news agency reported.
In southern Baghdad, three Iraqi policemen were wounded when a bomb explosion also targeted their patrol vehicle as it was passing by the area, police said.
Separately, the US army in Iraq said on Wednesday that one of its soldiers died on Tuesday of wounds he sustained in small-arms fire in western Baghdad.
The death brings the number of US soldiers who have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion in March 2003 to 4,183. (dpa)
