London, Nov 12: A nurse was fired after showing her colleague porn on her mobile phone while on duty at hospital. The Nursing and Midwifery Council was told that Stephanie Payne insisted healthcare worker Carla Williams to watch the porn clip.

“She had her mobile phone turned up to full volume. Payne should not have been using her mobile phone on duty, let alone watching pornographic material. Her behaviour was entirely unacceptable, ” the Sun quoted the disciplinary panel, as ruling.

The council was also told that the 43-year-old nurse left a patient nude on a bed while she chatted to a pal on her mobile phone

However, Payne did not attend the hearing, which upheld ten complaints made during six months at Cardiff’s 1,000-bed University of Wales Hospital.

“Patients were put at risk and Payne has shown no insight into her shortcomings, ” an NMC spokesman said.

Payne refused to comment on the matter. (ANI)
