Britain's biggest space rocket unveiled

The space rocket 'Nova 2' of Britain has been unveiled at Sanford University. This is the biggest rocket ever created and flown from the UK mainland. Nova 2 was unveiled outside the university's Maxwell Building. This will realize the dream of many who wants to travel in space.

The head of the university's Space Technology Laboratory, Mr. Steve Bennett has expected the journey to space by tourists up to 2013 with the help of space rockets. He plans to launch Nova 2 in September 2009 to test a safety system for successful journey to space. Nova 2 is a three-seated rocket manufactured by Mr. Steve Bennett's private company, Starchaser Industries. He said that if the tests remain successful he will form even bigger design of rockets to carry visitors into space.

He will set out a nationwide tour of schools of Britain from next year. He wants to join some brilliant students of schools to join rocket launching program in September 2009. Bennett said that his ultimate aim is to carry people into space through rocket and new launch would fulfill his ambition of space tour.

Mr. Bennett's space tourism initiative will enable the public to purchase flights for space journey. People will be able to spend 20 minutes in the air and experience three to four minutes of weightlessness traveling a long distance at 3,500 miles per hour. The total cost of flights into space would cost up to £100,000 to Bennett. He has believed to purchase 20 acres of land in New Mexico, to full fill his ambitions of space journey.
