Dell Introduces Two New Laptops In The New Studio Series

Dell LaptopDell has introduced two consumer laptops in its new Studio series; Studio 15 and Studio 17. The new studio series stands between the low-end Inspiron series and the high-end XPS series. Dell claims that the Studio series offers better personalization features for a high-definition computing experience, including color-customization options.

Michael Tatelman, vice president of Dell consumer sales and marketing worldwide says that this series is created after listening, learning and implementing comments gathered from “millions of conversations we have every year on dell.com, Ideastorm and community forums,.” The Studio range is Dell’s answer to a widespread call for personalization, connectivity and simplicity. The sleek Studio series will be available in seven colors, and graphite grey pattern customizable with four trim colors.

The new Studio laptops are great combination of aesthetics and technology. This Studio range is Dell’s answer to a widespread call for personalization, connectivity and simplicity, Opening the Studio laptop portfolio are the Studio 15 and Studio 17, two distinctive and aptly named 15.4 and 17-inch computers that come with a host of personalization features as standard, including a 2.0 mega pixel onboard Web camera, capacitive touch media controls, slot load drives, built-in mobile broadband connectivity and optional mercury-free LED displays. In terms of basic and expansion-friendly specifications, the Studio range comes equipped with a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo processors (up to 2.5GHz, 6MB L2, 800MHz FSB), Windows Vista, 15.4 and 17-inch LCD display screens, up to 4GB of SDRAM, and up to 320GB of HDD storage (640GB on the 17-inch model).

Visual muscle starts with the Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and can reach as high as the more oomph-worthy 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650. The laptops also come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with optional onboard mobile broadband, an optional Blu-ray Disc drive, and an optional fingerprint reader for enhanced security. The Studio laptops are available in a wide range of colours including Plum Purple, Tangerine Orange, Flamingo Pink, Midnight Blue, Ruby Red, Spring Green, standard Jet Black, or the optional Graphite Grey model with personalized color accents.

Starting prices for the 15.4-inch and 17-inch Studio are $799 USD and $999 USD respectively. Units can be purchased through the official Dell site and also through walk-in retail stores such as Best Buy and Staples.
