PSL Pockets Rs 19.28 Bn Order From Gail
India’s largest pipe maker PSL Ltd has announced that it has received a contract worth Rs 19.28 billion from Gail (India) Ltd.
The scope of order includes manufacturing and supplying of carbon steel pipes of varying diameters ranging from 20 inches to 48 inches and thicknesses for a total length of approximately 470 Kms.
The deal is expected to be finished within the existing year (2008).
With the above order, PSL’s consolidated order book stood at Rs 60 billion.
PSL Ltd specializes in the design, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of plants, machinery and equipments catering to the pipeline industry.
PSL has 10 Pipe Mills at strategically coast based locations in Chennai, Kandla and Daman with an annual capacity exceeding 1,000,000 MT of size varying from 16" dia to 120" dia with wall thickness from 5mm to 25mm.
At 1:40 pm, shares of the company declined 3.2%, to trade at Rs 327.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
