Imation Corporation has made announcement about the launching of its new compact, sleek Apollo portable hard drive, which will hit Indian markets by next month (June 2008).

The company said that its newly launched high-capacity, USB-powered portable hard drive is stylish, lightweight and long-lasting.

Designed for use with both PC and Mac systems, desktops and laptops, the drive provides backup, schedule, synchronize and restore functions by just clicking a mouse button.

Weighing less that 250 g, the hard drive fits in the palm of the hand or a jacket pocket for ease while traveling. Because the drive USB is 2.0 powered, it doesn’t require a battery or an external power supply.

A blue LED light shows when data transfer is in progress so the users comes to know when backups are finish.

The hard drive offers significant storage as well as backup space with 160 GB, 250 GB or 320 GB of capacity for storing up information, photos, music and videos.

Featuring Total Media Backup software that’s easy to install and use, the Apollo Portable Hard Drive is pre-configured to back up all types of digital files.

The Imation Apollo 2.5-inch Portable Hard Drive is now available in the European market and will be available in India by next month (June 2008) through the company's channel.
