SoftOrbits introduces web versions of 10 of its most popular photo editing utilities
SoftOrbits is an image data processing software development company founded by Eugene Ustinenkov in 2006. Over the last 19 years, the project has grown from a tiny startup into a well-recognized company with over a million yearly downloads and 300,000 users.
SoftOrbits has carved its unique niche in the industry by providing small-scale photo editing software. Focused on automatically and perfectly performing a single task, these utilities provided a convenient option for amateur users who wanted to address certain issues with their photos without having to spend multiple hours learning comprehensive tools that flooded the market.
This month, the company has proved its commitment to increasing the accessibility of image editing software by releasing web versions of 10 of its most popular tools, including Watermark Remover, Denoise and Deblur, Old Photo Restoration, and more.
“Removing hardware requirements was crucial for us since it was one of the few remaining obstacles for users to access our products. Now a lot of our utilities can be accessed anywhere at any time, even if you need to quickly edit some pictures on the go. We have observed a significant increase in active users after the release and are absolutely convinced that this is the future for SoftOrbits,” says Eugene Ustinenkov, CEO of SoftOrbits and AlarmFront.
As Eugene Ustinenkov adds, the team has also noticed an increase in downloads of the PC versions of the utilities, which means that the release was able to reach new audiences who might be willing to use desktop software on a regular basis.
“These are mostly new marketing teams and influencers who have always been some of our most loyal customers. Some companies rely on our tools being a part of their workflow due to their simplicity and lack of any training requirements. We are happy that the launch has increased both of our audiences and made it possible to cater to more customers and provide several options to choose from, increasing convenience for everyone,” says Eugene Ustinenkov, CEO of SoftOrbits, Candidate of Technical Sciences.
Right now the team behind SoftOrbits is focused on adjusting most of its toolkit to the online format and finding new ways of increasing accessibility for its customers. The team believes that its new AI features can help significantly in that regard.
“Prompt-based editing is the future, whether you like it or not, and that is doubly true for amateur users. There is simply nothing as empowering and accessible as entering what you want using natural language and seeing it come to life. Current AI might still not be perfect, but with enough tweaks from our side and careful implementation, the results are going to be highly impressive — no doubt about that,” says Eugene Ustinenkov, CEO of SoftOrbits with more than 10 years of software development expertise.
Apart from introducing more AI features, SoftOrbits also plans to switch its distribution model to SaaS to address the current market situation.
“We see how the SaaS model proves itself more and more reliable in our niche as the years go by, which is why we think we have to adjust to it as well. We’re already in the transition process, and although it might take us some time, soon enough we'll enter the new era of SoftOrbits, and we can’t wait for it,“ says Hannes Jansen, writer and editor at SoftOrbits.
