American electric vehicle (EV) giant Tesla Motors has reportedly halted the Cybertruck’s deliveries to consumers due to an issue with the accelerator pedal, sparking widespread concerns among potential owners as well as investors. While Tesla hasn’t officially commented on the delivery pause and the issue in the accelerator pedal, a prominent influencer has mentioned that the EV’s deliveries have been halted for a week to address the reported issue.

In the recent past, a number of online forums devoted to the Tesla Cybertruck posted Numerous posters reporting that upcoming deliveries of the vehicle were either delayed or cancelled. Of course, the unconfirmed reports were enough to spark discussions and debates about the reasons behind the delays. Some people were quick to claim that the EV giant delayed or cancelled the deliveries of the vehicle following complaints about a glitch that could cause the accelerator pedal to get stuck.

Using Elon Musk's X platform, a noted Tesla influencer @wholemarsblog wrote, "Tesla has stopped all Cybertruck deliveries for 7 days due to an issue with the accelerator pedal."

It is worth-mentioning here that Tesla has no media relations department, and it doesn't release key news to the public. It means that there is a lack of direct communication between Tesla and public, which further adds to uncertainty and speculation.

Boasting its spaceship-like looks, the Tesla Cybertruck is available a total of three trims, viz. single-motor RWD, dual-motor AWD, and three-motor Cyberbeast. While the single-motor RWD comes with a price tag of $60,990, the dual-motor AWD and three-motor Cyberbeast cost $79,990 and $99,990, respectively. More models are expected to be available sooner than later. Currently, the Cybertruck isn’t eligible for the U.S. federal government’s $7,500 tax credit, but this is expected to change before the end of this year.

The AWD version of the Cybertruck produces 600 horsepower and 7,435 la-ft. of torque, while the top-of-the-range Cyberbeast churns out 845 horsepower and 10,295 lb.-ft. of torque. The electric range of the EV varies from 250 miles (RWD) to 340 miles (AWD). The Cyberbeast delivers a range of 320 miles on a single charge. An optional range extender increases the range for the AWD and Cyberbeast to 470 and 440 miles, respectively.
