The Audi electric mountain bike (eMTB), a cutting-edge mobility solution created by German luxury automotive brand in collaboration with Italian powerhouse Fantic, promises to elevate riding experience to new heights.

The Audi eMTB is the brand’s new limited-edition bike that seems to be particularly made for fans of the Audi RS Q e-tron. Available through Audi Genuine Accessories, the enduro-style electric pedal assist eMTB in fact features an exhilarating livery inspired by the groundbreaking design of Audi’s electrified Dakar Rally-winning RS Q e-tron racecar.As already mentioned above, the German automobile brand collaborated with Italian motorcycle and e-bike manufacturer Fantic to build the new product. According to information released by the manufacturer, the new e-bike is based on the existing Fantic XEF 1.9 Factory eMTB.

The geometry of the e-bike’s lightweight aluminum frame promises a relaxed riding position, enabling the rider to better react to obstacles even on rough terrain. Its mixed 29 inch-front and 27.5 inch-rear wheel setup ensures the best of rollover ability as well as tight cornering agility.

In fact, it is apt and agile for on a variety of terrain, including bike paths and challenging off-road tracks, thanks to its full-suspension design, Mavic tubeless-ready wheels, and Vittoria off-road tires specifically rated for e-bikes. Other notable features include top-shelf, fully adjustable suspension components, 180mm of travel, a coil-sprung Öhlins TTX22m.2 rear shock, and an air-sprung Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork. For shifting, the manufacturers have equipped its 1x12 drivetrain with SRAM’s popular GX rear derailleur and bar-mounted shifter. To bring the e-bike to a halt, the two-wheeler has got Sunstar Braking’s F.I.R.S.T. calipers and S3 Batfly rotors (220/203mm F/R).

There are four levels of electrical assistance at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour, viz. Eco, Sport, Tour and Boost; while battery range has been estimated at 12 to 90 miles (20-150 km) depending on the type of the terrain. Eco mode ensures maximum efficiency and range the most powerful Boost mode promises the maximum level of electrical assistance for challenging, hilly paths.

Deliveries of the Audi eMTB are expected to commence in summer this year, with the price tag starting at $9,795.
