Our in-house team files daily updates, but guest contributions widen the range of subjects we can cover well. If you work in markets, real estate, health, forex or crypto and can write clearly about it, we want to hear from you.

Typical reply time: 2 to 10 hours for most emails.

Who we are

TopNews has been online since 2006. We reported through the 2008 global recession that pushed many businesses into bankruptcy, and through the COVID-19 pandemic, adding cryptocurrency coverage in 2020. Every story we have published is still on the site — unlike many outlets, we do not archive old content. We are well funded and independent, with no affiliation to any political party, and we cover our costs through advertising.

What we accept

Originality

The content must be unique

We publish work that has not appeared elsewhere. Anything syndicated, spun or previously posted on another site will be turned down.

Substance

The content must be well researched

Claims need to be backed by data, filings or named sources. Cite where your figures come from so our editors can verify them before publication.

Neutrality

The content must be free of bias

Analysis is welcome; promotion is not. Pieces written to sell a product, stock or political position will not run.

Craft

The content must be well written

Submit clean copy, free of grammatical errors. Our editors will sub-edit, but they will not rewrite a draft from scratch.

Coverage

Subjects we publish

Stock markets, business and company results, real estate, technology, healthcare and fitness, forex and cryptocurrency. We accept a wide variety of content, but only at a high standard.

Who writes for us

We regularly publish real estate experts such as ANAROCK, market analysts from Kotak Securities, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Nirmal Bang, Motilal Oswal and SAMCO Research, along with health specialists, forex experts and cryptocurrency analysts.

How to pitch

Step 1

Email the editorial desk with your idea, the sector it belongs to and a short note on your background in that field.

Step 2

An editor replies, usually within two to ten hours, confirming whether the subject fits and what angle would work best.

Step 3

Send the finished draft. The sub editor for that sector reviews it against the standards above before it goes live under your byline.
