New Delhi [India], Oct 19 : The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Wednesday directed the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi to clarify policy on the use of CNG as main fuel for vehicles.

It said that all states have to clarify on infrastructure in place for supply and distribution of CNG.

The NGT also asked Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to submit detailed and comprehensive plan for laying of pipeline for distribution of CNG, PNG.

" PNGRB to clarify on when and how many cities shall be covered with supply of CNG, PNG and what is the current status of CNG use in five states," it said. (ANI)
