McDonald’s Employee Sets an Example for the World

World is full of negativity and evils, but a small gesture of a McDonalds’s employee in Chicago has reminded that kindness still exists. Kenny, a cashier, last week, helped an elderly disabled man who needed help to eat his dinner.

Destiny Carreno, a customer who saw Kenny's kindness firsthand, said she was in awe of the McDonald’s employee’s kindness. She immediately took a picture of Kenny helping the disabled man. Kenny cut food for the old man so that he can have his dinner easily.

The picture was posted to Facebook as a reminder that ‘Compassion has NOT gone out of style’, said Carreno. “This employee, who put everything on hold for this man, went above and beyond his responsibilities to help this handicapped customer out. That was the kindest and most humble thing I had ever seen”, she wrote.

Soon after the image was posted on the social networking website, within few minutes, it went viral all over the internet. As of today, the picture has been shared over 315,000 times on Facebook.

Rod Lubeznik, owner of the McDonald's where the photo was taken, said the entire company is very proud of the employee. While speaking to NBC5 Chicago, Mr. Lubeznik said the chain is overwhelmed by the positive response Kenny received for his compassion and kindness.

He continued that it is true depiction of what Kenny actually is, and is also a reminder for all of us that one seemingly small act of kindness can touch millions of hearts.
