A 13-year-old Dachshund will finally be able to see his caretakers after the elderly couple left him tied up outside a California creature shelter, with an appalling note stating they were excessively debilitated and poor to foot for the canine's therapeutic costs.

The puppy, named Otto, was found outside the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter close to Los Angeles with a written by hand note asking that he be put to rest on the grounds that his holders couldn't stand to watch over him.

The note peruses, "Our puppy is 13 1/2 years of age he is ailing beginning yesterday with untimely stools, heaving," as stated by the report. "Had a skin sickness for a couple of years. We are both seniors, diseased with no cash. We can't pay for vet bills, or to put him to rest. He has never been far from us in every one of those years, he can't work without us, please put him to rest."

Specialists at the asylum allegedly told Leave No Paws Behind, Inc., a foster-based salvage operation that represents considerable specialty in seniors. It was also reported that when Otto was later analyzed by a veterinarian, it was discovered that his condition could be dealt with and that he likely had more years in which to live.

The salvage aggregation contacted the canine's holders - after it was clear that the Dachshund had been well dealt with - to rejoin the pooch with the couple.
