Xolo launches new X1000 smartphone in India

Xolo launches new X1000 smartphone in IndiaXolo has announced the launch of its new Intel-based smartphone named, Xolo X1000, which is claimed to be the fastest smartphone in the world, in the Indian market.

The new Xolo X1000 will come with a 4.7-inch SHARP HD 2.5D edge curved glass display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels. The company has been promoting the device on its website and Facebook page and is already available for pre-orders on Flipkart. The smartphone will be powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Xolo claims that it will release an OTA Jelly Bean update by April 2013.

It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 32GB via microSD. As for photography, the device has an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a 1.3-megapixel front facing one. The smartphone has a 1,900mAh battery, which the company claims gives 5 hours of browsing time on 3G and talktime of 9.5 hours.

The new Xolo smartphone X1000 will be available in the Indian market from March 21 with a price tag of Rs. 19,999.
