Google welcome 2013 with a doodle
Internet search giant Google welcomed the New Year 2013 with a new doodle on its homepage. The New Year 2013 doodle is a sequel to the New Year's eve doodle 2013, which was as collection of thirty-five doodles that appeared during the recently past year.
While the doodle posted on the New Year's Eve was featuring New Year's Eve party, the New Year 2013 doodle features the post-party scene, with haphazardly placed letters of "Google", and hosts cleaning and mopping the place of the party.
Absence of guests in the post part scene of the New Year 2013 doodle is also one of the most distinguishable features of the New Year 2013 doodle. The New Year Eve doodle had excited attendees gracefully dressed up for the party, while the New Year 2013 doodle shows a morning scene with no guests around.
Google is well known for its tradition of marking the important days and occasions by posting doodles on the home page of its search engine. Last year, it had posted two different doodles to welcome the New Year. After enjoying a party on December 31 last year, the New Year 2012 doodle signaled a fresh start of the year 2012.
However, Google did not post the New Year Eve doodle on its India homepage, as it is sharing the sensitivity of Indian citizens following the brutal gangrape of a 23-year-old woman in Delhi. Instead, Google placed a subtle vigil candle on its India homepage in the memory of the braveheart.
