Facebook finally launched mobile share button for its mobile website
In a move which brings on one of the most fervently requested features by the users of Facebook's mobile apps, the mobile website of the popular social network now boasts the addition of a mobile share button.
The newly-launched mobile share button by Facebook is essentially the mobile counterpart of the share button already available on the company's website. The button chiefly underscores, for the users of Facebook's mobile apps, a mechanism which facilitates the re-posting of content from friends and Pages when the Facebook mobile site is being used.
Positioned by the side of the "like" and "comment" buttons at the bottom of posts, the new mobile share button gives the users the ability to click on the "share" option for the purpose of re-posting of status update as well as for the addition of their own comments.
Prior to the much-requested mobile share button's launch by Facebook, the only share option which was available to Facebook's mobile apps users was for links. Moreover, the share button surfaced only when a site in the Facebook browser was viewed by the users, and more options were clicked by them. As such, there was no mechanism which the users could use to quickly share a picture, status update or other posts.
With Facebook having now launched the mobile share button, a spokesperson of the social network recently told VentureBeat that the share button was also evidently in the offing for Facebook's iOS and Android apps.
