Three-day PAX game expo concludesThe eighth annual round of the three-day Penny Arcade Expo - PAX - held at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle, officially concluded on Sunday; after the attendees witnessed an extensive display of the latest creations from a horde of vide-game producers.

During the three days of the PAX game expo, countless diehard gaming aficionados got the opportunity to learn about the latest happenings in the gaming world, by the way of playing games and attending panels.

Some of the most prominent happenings during the weekend included the annual Q&A session with the Penny Arcade comic strip's creators - Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins -, as well as a number of competitions which attracted hundreds of attendees to watch and root for the rival teams onstage.

In fact, with the hosts, Penny Arcade, encouraging the attendees at the expo to dress up as their favorite characters - be it Nintendo's Zelda, or different wizards and warriors -, the annual PAX event serves as a reminder that gaming industry can virtually take on any other type of entertainment, including chartbuster movies.

With the PAX expo representing one of the biggest annual gaming events in North America, Kevin Grace - from 343 Industries, Kirkland - underscored the popularity of the event in the following statement: "For the last few years running, the biggest releases on a gaming front have surpassed the biggest box-office sales."
