Apple’s Siri to rival with Google Speech Recognition
Technology giant, Apple's new Siri Assistant, which comes in the newly released iPhone 4S, will compete with a similar offering form Google, the Google Speech Recognition.
The Siri Assistant is a virtual assistant that allows users to schedule meetings, make calls, book restaurant tables. Apple's rival Google offers a similar speech recognition software technology, called Google Voice Actions for Android phones.
Voice Actions also allows users to call businesses and contacts, send texts and e-mail, listen to music, and browse the Web by speaking into their phone. However, Siri is being positioned as something bigger than simple a assistant for conduction and completion.
The virtual assistant not only integrated with Wolfram Alpha but also gives information related to whether conditions. Some internet blogs have listed all the functionality offered by the new virtual assistant. The new tool is expected to make the iPhone 4S more attractive to business users.
